This past month, my world blurred—literally. I had emergency surgery for a detached retina and retinal tears in my left eye, and the experience changed me deeply. As a counselor and healer, I've always held sacred space for others, and now, once again, I was being called to turn that same energy inward.

The surgeons repaired the tears and placed a gas bubble in my eye to help the retina reattach. I was told to hold my head in specific positions so gravity could assist the healing (left immediately after the surgery and then right side from then on). It was humbling. Vulnerable. But also strangely sacred.

In the fog of recovery, I inner-stood: this was more than a physical healing. It was a spiritual initiation into deeper surrender, trust, and patience. My life has been full of these opportunities as I am sure yours has as well.

I created a gentle ritual and meditation to support not only myself, but anyone navigating vision challenges—physically or energetically. Whether you're recovering from eye surgery, dealing with strained vision, or struggling to "see clearly" in life, I hope this practice supports you too.

Empath Idi's Eye Healing Meditation & Ritual

Use this daily, or whenever you need to reconnect with your inner clarity. It's especially supportive when paired with crystals like Amethyst, Fluorite, Lapis Lazuli, Sodalite, or Clear Quartz.

What You Need:

One or more of the following crystals: Amethyst, Fluorite, Lapis Lazuli, Sodalite, or Clear Quartz

A glass of water (Optional: Charge it with Reiki or set it out in the sun or moon)

A quiet space

Soft background music or healing frequencies (528Hz, 639Hz, or 111Hz recommended)

1. Ground + Center

Close your eyes. Take a deep breath in through your nose… and exhale through your mouth.

Visualize golden light entering the crown of your head, moving down your spine, and anchoring you to the earth.

2. Activate Healing Light

Now imagine a soft, violet-blue glow surrounding your eyes.

As you breathe in, this light soothes and regenerates the tissue behind your eyes. As you breathe out, release pain, fear, or tension—letting it drain away gently.

If using a crystal, place it near your third eye or heart. Feel its frequency pulsing in harmony with your breath.

3. Repeat Healing Affirmations

Silently or Aloud, say:

"I give my body full permission to heal."

"My vision is sacred, and I now see through the eyes of peace."

"Every cell in my eye is aligning in divine order."

"I trust the wisdom of my body and the power of my healing."

"I see clearly with my physical and spiritual eyes."

"My vision is protected, supported, and restored."

"I receive insight with ease, and I walk in trust."

"I am supported, seen, and whole."

4. Closing Ritual

Hold your glass of water and infuse it with light. Say:

"This water is sacred. As I drink it, I nourish and restore my vision on every level...I love you."

Drink slowly and intentionally. Place your crystal(s) near your bed, and thank your body for its miraculous work.
